Enter and work in confined spaces

Course Objective 
This unit covers entering and working in confined spaces in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes planning and preparing for entry of confined spaces, entry and working in confined spaces and exiting and cleaning up confined spaces. It is appropriate for those working in confined spaces for the purpose of carrying out work and inspections. 

Upon successful completion of the course assessments required to obtain this unit of competency, the learner will obtain a statement of attainment for the unit RIIWHS202E—Enter and Work in Confined Spaces and a photo identification Confined Spaces Card
Selection Criteria
Minimum age - 16 years
Ability to use and understand basic English
Photo identification is required and must contain a photo, date of birth and signature
Upon enrolment a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment must be completed.
Any pre-study received MUST be read and completed in FULL prior to attending on the day. This will be a requirement to your course and there is an expectation that this is completed. 

StaySafe Training recommends learners to hold a White Card Induction Card prior to undertaking this course.

Course details
Duration: 1 day- 8 hours (8am - 4pm)
Cost$340.00 per person* or $180.00 with CITB funding

• Verbal Assessment $ 75.00
• Re-Assessment Fee (only applicable if Learner is required to come back for re-assessment - Contact Office for more details)
• Re-issue of card $ 50.00
Fees must be paid in full before the course date or payment arrangement in place.

Upon successful completion of the course assessments required to obtain this unit of competency, the learner will obtain a statement of attainment issued by StaySafe Training RTO 45400 for the unit RIIWHS202E—Enter and Work in Confined Spaces and a photo identification Confined Spaces Card

Before attending a training course learners must
Make arrangements to pay the course fee, collect course modules and workbooks (if this applies), obtain and read all course information including the Student Information Handbook and obtain a USI number. Enclosed shoes must be worn on the day of training.
